Health Testing

We find it's extremely important that breeders know what they are doing and breed for the love of it and not just for the money.  With that being said we breed for love and want to make sure every puppy we bring into the world isn't hurting the breed. We believe the only way to do this is with health testing. Both of our dogs get PennHip as well as genetic testing, that we get done via Paw Print Genetics. We want to ensure that the families who purchase a puppy from us know that our health guarantee is backed 100%, and that their puppies will live long and healthy lives. We also don't hide this from the families getting a puppy from us and feel as though you should have access to these results as well. Since both our Dam (Bailey) and Sire (Nash) are extensively health tested we back every one of their puppies with a two-year health guarantee.

Nash - Sire

Paw Print Pedigrees Dog Seal
His PennHip testing stated that he is in the 80th percentile. His paperwork is on file with us if you'd like to see it.

OFA Heart testing completed & turned in. Currently waiting on the certification.

OFA Elbow and Patella tests are being completed now.

The Paw Print Genetic badge to the left is clickable and will show you his results. Their interpretations and recommendations are below.

Interpretation:
Molecular genetic analysis was performed for 14 specific mutations reported to be associated with disease in dogs. We identified two normal copies of the DNA sequences in the mutations tested.

Recommendations:

No mutations were identified. Thus, this dog is not at an increased risk for the diseases caused by or associated with the mutations tested. Because this dog is "clear" of these diseases, this dog will only pass the normal genes on to its offspring. Normal results do not exclude inherited mutations not tested in these or other genes that may cause medical problems or may be passed on to offspring.
